Services for Children & Families

1:1 Therapy for Children

Children often communicate their experiences through play, creativity, behavior, and relationships rather than words alone. Our child therapy services provide a warm, safe, and supportive environment where children can explore emotions, develop coping skills, and build resilience.

We integrate traditional counselling and psychotherapy with play therapy, sandplay therapy, and art therapy to meet children at their developmental level. Through carefully designed therapeutic experiences, children are encouraged to express themselves, process difficult experiences, and strengthen emotional regulation skills.

Our therapists support children experiencing anxiety, behavioral challenges, emotional difficulties, social concerns, school-related stress, family transitions, grief and loss, and trauma. Therapy also helps children develop confidence, self-awareness, and healthy ways of relating to others.

Parents and caregivers are recognized as important partners in the therapeutic process. Where appropriate, we collaborate closely with families to support the child’s growth and well-being beyond the therapy room. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship, children are given opportunities to heal, grow, and thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally.

1:1 Therapy for Teenagers

Adolescence is a period of rapid change, growth, and self-discovery. Teenagers often face challenges related to identity, relationships, academic pressures, emotional well-being, and the demands of an increasingly complex world.

Our individual therapy sessions provide a confidential and supportive space where teenagers can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We utilize an integrative approach that combines counselling and psychotherapy with art therapy, sandplay therapy, and Somatic Experiencing® to support meaningful engagement and personal growth.

Therapy may help teenagers address concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, social pressures, family conflict, grief and loss, trauma, and school-related stress. Creative and body-based approaches can be particularly beneficial for adolescents who find it difficult to express their experiences through words alone.

Our goal is to help young people develop greater confidence, self-understanding, emotional resilience, and healthy coping strategies. By providing a supportive therapeutic relationship, we empower teenagers to navigate life's challenges and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Group Therapy for Children and Teenagers

Group therapy offers children and teenagers valuable opportunities to learn, connect, and grow alongside peers in a supportive therapeutic environment. Through shared experiences, participants can develop social confidence, emotional awareness, communication skills, and a sense of belonging.

Our groups utilize play therapy and art therapy approaches that encourage creativity, self-expression, collaboration, and emotional learning. Activities are designed to be engaging, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to the needs of participants.

Group programs may focus on areas such as social skills development, emotional regulation, self-esteem, resilience, friendship building, stress management, and personal growth. The group setting allows participants to learn from one another, practice new skills, and receive support from peers who may share similar experiences.

Led by qualified therapists, groups are carefully structured to foster psychological safety, respect, and meaningful participation. Through creative exploration and positive social interaction, participants are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop practical skills that support their emotional well-being both within and beyond the group setting.
