Ms. Lyn Low (Low Yu Neng)

Master of Arts in Art Therapy (Graduating July 2026)
Bachelor of Fine Arts

About Lyn
Lyn is an art psychotherapist based in Singapore. She works with young to older adults who are ready to look inward, even if they are not yet sure what they may find.

With close to a decade of experience in community and clinical settings, she has worked alongside adults navigating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, caregiver exhaustion, and the kind of deep fatigue that comes from spending a lifetime putting others first. She understands that distress is rarely simple, and that what most people need, before anything else, is to feel genuinely seen.

In sessions, she draws on a range of art modalities guided by what feels right for each individual. The art-making is not about creating something beautiful. It is about creating something honest: a way of seeing what is held internally, at a pace that feels safe.

Over time, many people find that what began as a mark on paper becomes a way of reclaiming their voice, and taking back a sense of agency in their own lives.

She believes each person already holds the capacity to find their own direction. Sometimes, all it takes is the right space and someone who genuinely sees them to begin trusting that again.

Who Lyn Works With

Lyn works with people who are:

  • Living with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or other mental health challenges
  • Exhausted from caring for others and have little left for yourself
  • Processing grief, loss, or experiences that feel too complex to put into words
  • Feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of who they are beyond the roles they carry
  • Curious about a non-verbal, creative approach to understanding oneself better

Lyn's Approach
Lyn’s approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, with art as the primary therapeutic medium. Sessions are individual, held in a safe and non-judgmental space. She brings both the rigour of clinical training and empathy to every session.

Ms. Val Wai

Master of Arts in Art Therapy (Graduating July 2026)
Bachelor of Art (Hons) Communication Design (First-Class Honours)

About Val
Val is an art therapist who holds a Master's degree from LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore (UAS). Her clinical experience includes working with children and adolescents with developmental needs and chronic illnesses across hospital, residential, and educational settings.

Val views art therapy as an in-between space for play and development, where creative processes become a gentle pathway for children and youths to explore emotions and experiences that may be difficult to express in words. She supports clients in developing emotional regulation, strengthening a sense of safety, and connecting more deeply with their inner worlds through embodied art-making and creative play.

Her early experiences volunteering as a teacher with children with special needs shaped her strengths-based and person-centered approach, grounded in respect for each individual's unique way of experiencing and making sense of the world. Alongside her clinical practice in private and community settings, Val facilitates art therapy-informed workshops and continues to develop her artistic practice. Through her creative work, she hopes to cultivate greater awareness and understanding of art therapy among young people and the wider community.

Val is committed to reflective practice and ongoing learning, and continues to engage with professional development within the field.
